Re: Can you hear me now?
Here, try this high bit rate virus-free wma - close the download and it will start up automatically in Windows Media - at least see if it will play for you - I came up with the A-side song title for Cyril and the band, Tomorrow Never Comes (duh!)
The b-side, Run And Hide is even better imho, this one featuring the in-the-moment/experience-rich dulcet tones of Cyril Jordan (lead gtr.) along with Paulie the usual lead singer.
The Flamin' Groovies' Cyril J. was an old friend (or rather, a young friend) of Ron "Pigpen" McKernan from '66.
Ron used to share his wine bottle at the Fillmore/Avalon with Master Cyril before the crowds
(as many as 50-110 hipsters) showed up - everybody knew everybody was cool in '66... (not one Cosmic Charlie Manson at all!)
Breaking news: Meet the latest Magic Christian, world-class replacement for M.C. drummer Prairie Prince -
Blondie drummer Clem Burke!!
Also getting in on the act is one of the main men from The Plimsouls...
this is beginning to sound like a super-group!
M.C. rehearsed this June '07 in L.A. and everybody's happy nowadays!
so this is the long-suffering acid-jughead cult faves the Flamin' Groovies, legendary founder Cyril Jordan's cool new '60s-tinged Magic Christian (named after the Ringo Badfinger Peter Sellers movie, based on the the Terry Southern book).
